London offers so many unique and wonderful date ideas! All 5 of the ideas below are ones I have personally tried in recent years, and therefore thoroughly recommend. So if you are looking for date ideas in London, read on!
The Royal Opera House It’s a spellbindingly beautiful building, in the heart and hubbub of Covent Garden, surrounded by cobbled streets and pubs and restaurants a plenty. An ever enchanting area, with its central market and forthcoming Christmas lights. I love the fact that the Royal Opera House offers so much for everyone, with performances from the Royal Ballet and Royal Opera companies galore (as well as options for little ones- that will be another post!). It’s “Paul Hamlyn Hall Champagne Bar” is reason to visit alone: it is stunning and very romantic! Tickets are super reasonably priced from £7 a seat, depending upon performances. This would be a very special night out in London! Website: https://www.roh.org.uk/

The London Gin Club Cosied in an 18th Century building, The London Gin Club offers a very charming environment to sample over 100 gins! The staff have the knowledge, and it’s beautifully lit of an evening to give it that intimate feeling, whether with a loved one or with a friend. They also have the gorgeous Gin Vault below the main bar, where you can take part in a Master class (£45pp), which a friend and I did a few years ago, before a 1920’s evening in fact! Highly recommend that also. Website: https://londonginclub.com/

Alice’s Adventures Underground If you and your date like Alice in Wonderland, you are going to LOVE this!! It’s a 90 minute immersive theatre show, based in Waterloo, with a spectacular set as well as actors, with add on restaurant/bar options if wanted, to have you enthralled and entertained! This hit show returns in March 2023, with bookings available now! Website: https://thisislabyrinth.com
Guided London walking tours with @LivingLondonHistory If you love history, and in particular London history, take a tour with Jack who will light it all up for you with his passion, knowledge and entertaining delivery! I attended his “Westminster Backstreets; Saints and Scoundrels Tours” this summer and adored it. If you follow Jack on Instagram, you will already know and love the amount of unique historical titbits he has to offer about the hidden backstreets of London, and it is this information and more that he brings to life on one of his tours. This would be a very unique date idea in London indeed! Website: linktr.ee/livinglondonhistory

Shakespeare Globe Two of my happiest London memories have been here at the Globe and would make for a very special date idea for London indeed! I saw “Much Ado about Nothing” earlier this year which BLEW me away, and have previously seen “Twelth Night”. These were two of the most glorious performances by the most talented theatre actors, produced in a unique and captivating way. It’s also in the most gorgeous building, a replica of a playhouse from the 16th Century for which Shakespeare wrote his plays. Prices can be super affordable depending upon what you are looking for too. I have stood and paid £5 for these performances and they were that good, that time honestly flew, and it felt wonderfully intimate being so close to the stage. Seat prices are’t bad at all, starting at £25 each. Website: https://www.shakespearesglobe.com/

Love your various Instagram reels and static pictures. I will never likely get to see London and so I am surprised, excited, spellbound at all the features you point out and explain, that I am sure are never seen by most tourists or even citizens of London. Thankyou for the education, entertainment and knowledge you impart on all of us who follow you on Instagram.
