London Landmarks Tea at Town House Kensington

Afternoon tea Georgia 3

I have visited the beautiful, warm, cosy, yet elegant Town House Kensington previously, for their long-running Beauty and the Beast afternoon tea. So I knew that their tea standards are high, and that this one would also be something to look forward to. We were not disappointed!

My friend Georgia is leaving London, so we wanted somewhere that would give us the peace to talk and catch up properly, with nice food and surroundings. We both remarked on leaving that ambiance and attention to detail is so, so important and that for our meets or for something special we would rather pay a little bit more for quality, as it makes, and made such a difference.

We stayed for 2.5 hours and were not rushed (I suppose this understandably depends on how busy they are on the day), and we had the loveliest staff who were attentive but also gave us the space we needed. We really appreciated that.

I love the personal approach Town House Kensington takes with its guests and we felt our waiting staff (Alexandra and Ronald primarily- thank you guys!) were so, so friendly and genuinely interested. It says a lot about a place when the staff are as happy to help and smiley as they are here.

The tea, as clear from the photographs, is served on a beautiful London eye stand and the main treats are exquisitely created London landmarks which are quite frankly, too good to eat! My favourite was the Big Ben which had lemon curd inside. The telephone box was a rhubarb mousse. One of the starters was a mini beef and ale pie. Everything had a connection to London or England on some level, a lot of thought has certainly gone into it, which adds to the very cute and beautiful experience that it is!

Why visit? A unique tea perfect for a special occasion, set in the most beautiful Town House that will make you want to come back for more, super friendly and attentive staff, premium quality food and drinks, a stones throw to museums such as the V&A.
